HomeVault is an offline inventory management application designed to help users organize household and office belongings, manage rooms, record purchase information, track warranties, maintain repair histories, and manage maintenance schedules.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, stored, used, protected, and deleted when you use HomeVault.
2. Information You Provide
HomeVault allows you to enter and manage information such as:
- Room names and inventory categories
- Furniture, electronics, appliances, and other asset details
- Product names, descriptions, and serial numbers
- Purchase prices and purchase dates
- Warranty expiration dates
- Product photos selected from your device
- Repair records, maintenance details, and associated costs
- Maintenance schedules and personal inventory notes
This information is entered voluntarily and is used to provide the application's inventory management features.
HomeVault stores this information locally on your device. The app does not transmit inventory records to developer-operated servers.
3. Offline Data Storage
HomeVault is designed to function without an internet connection or user account.
Inventory records are stored using a local Android Room database, while selected product photos are copied into application-private storage.
The app does not require online registration, cloud synchronization, or remote database services.
Your locally stored inventory remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
4. Photos and File Access
HomeVault allows you to attach photos to inventory items using Android's system photo or file picker.
Only the photos you select are imported into the application.
HomeVault does not require unrestricted access to your device's photo library or general file storage.
Selected photos are used to identify and organize inventory items.
5. Maintenance Reminders and Notifications
HomeVault may provide optional local notifications for maintenance schedules and warranty-related reminders.
These reminders are generated from locally stored inventory information.
On supported Android versions, the app requests notification permission when you choose to enable notifications.
You can disable notifications through the application settings or your device's system settings.
The delivery time of background reminders may vary depending on Android's battery optimization and scheduling behavior.
6. PDF and CSV Exports
HomeVault allows you to generate inventory information in PDF and CSV formats.
Exported files may contain product details, purchase information, repair records, maintenance schedules, and associated values.
You choose where these documents are saved using Android's system document picker.
If you decide to share an exported document, the destination application or service you select will handle the shared file according to its own privacy practices.
HomeVault does not automatically upload exported documents to a remote server.
7. Encrypted Backup and Restore
HomeVault provides an optional local backup and restore feature.
When you create a backup, supported inventory data and available product photos are protected using AES-256-GCM encryption with a key derived from your chosen backup password.
You choose where to save the encrypted backup file.
HomeVault does not transmit backup files or backup passwords to our servers.
You are responsible for remembering your password and keeping backup files in a secure location.
Restoring a backup replaces the existing inventory records stored in the application.
Backup files and exported documents saved outside the application's private storage remain under your control until you delete them.
8. Data Collection and Third-Party Services
The current version of HomeVault does not use:
- Advertising networks
- Analytics or behavioral tracking services
- Online user accounts
- Developer-operated cloud synchronization
- Remote inventory storage
We do not sell inventory information or share your locally stored records with advertisers.
Information you deliberately export or share may be processed by the destination application or service you choose.
9. Data Security
HomeVault uses Android's application-private storage and local database facilities to protect inventory information from ordinary access by other applications.
Optional backup files are encrypted using the backup password you provide.
However, no device or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
We recommend securing your device, protecting backup passwords, and exercising care when sharing exported inventory documents.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Inventory information remains stored locally until you edit or delete it, clear the application's data, or uninstall the application.
You can delete individual inventory items and related records using the application's available management functions.
You may also remove locally stored application data through your Android device settings.
Uninstalling HomeVault generally removes its application-private inventory database and stored photos.
Files you independently exported or backed up to other locations are not automatically deleted when the application is uninstalled.
Because HomeVault does not maintain online inventory accounts, there is no developer-hosted inventory account requiring deletion.
11. Children's Privacy
HomeVault is intended as a general-purpose household and office inventory management utility.
It is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through developer-operated online services.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
CLEANING WINDS CONCIERGE LLC may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect changes in application functionality, data practices, or applicable requirements.
Updates will be reflected through a revised effective date.
We encourage users to review this policy periodically.
